They look like the fanciest cupcake wrappers on Earth!
Ballerina pink with lighter-weight blooms held upright on strong stems. The finely pleated blooms with scalloped edges float above the foliage. Some of the flowers I saved these from have fluffy, tufted centers.
To start early indoors, sow seeds 1 inch apart in a container of seed starting mix, 4 to 6 weeks before last expected frost. Cover 1/2 inch deep, keep moist and provide a good light source. Plant outdoors once weather warms up after gradually acclimating to outdoor conditions. Thin or transplant 8 inches apart when seedlings are large enough to handle.
Plant in full sun, height 40–50", blooms Spring through Fall. The more you cut, the more they bloom!
