Tall stalks reaching 10-12 feet produce 10-12” ears, with kernels in a vivid blood-red hue with darker crimson stripes, occasionally interspersed with white or blue variations. Ideal for flour, cornmeal, or roasting. Popular as a base for sour mash whiskey, if that’s your cup of whiskey.
